The lake
Swimming and boats in Ribčev Laz in summer, walks along the shore all year. The loop around the lake is about 12 km.

We are in Ribčev Laz, at the eastern end of Lake Bohinj. You walk to the water, the shop and the tourist centre; for Vogel and Savica you take the bus or the car.

The bus stops outside the house
From the Ribčev Laz stop, buses run one way to Ukanc (Vogel, Savica waterfall) and the other way to Bohinjska Bistrica, Bled and Ljubljana. The timetable is different in summer and winter, so check it before you set off.

Things to do
Savica waterfall
15 minutes by car to the car park, then a path with steps up to the falls.
Mountains
In summer take the cable car up Vogel or hike into Triglav National Park; in winter ski on Vogel. Your car can stay at the house while you are on a multi-day hike.
Stara Fužina and Mostnica
Walk through Stara Fužina to the Mostnica gorge: half an hour to the village and ten minutes more to Devil's Bridge.
Getting here
By car
From Ljubljana take the motorway to the Lesce exit, then drive through Bled and Bohinjska Bistrica towards the lake, about 1 hour 10 minutes. In Ribčev Laz you find us at the bus stop, just past Hotel Kristal.
By train
To Bohinjska Bistrica station, then 6 minutes by car or by bus to the Ribčev Laz stop.
By air
Ljubljana airport is 62 km away, about an hour by car.
